Ingredients
For Filling
- Toor Dal -1/4 kg
- Fresh coconut-1 cup grated
- Jaggery-According to taste
- Cardamom -3 pods
- All purpose flour -2 cups
- Fine rava -1 cup
- Turmeric pwd -a pinch for color(optional)
- Oil Salt- a pinch
- Water
- Mix flour , rava salt and turmeric pwd with water and oil to make a soft and elastic dough.
- Cover the mix and leave for 2-4 hrs.
- In the mean time boil toor dal till cooked well.
- In a pan add jaggery on a low flame till jaggery melts.
- Now add coconut ,dal and cardamom powder till they bind.
- Blend this in a mixer together.
- Once they cool down make small balls.
- Once the dough is ready to use make small balls.
- Place a plastic cover under and roll or pat the dough in smaller diameter place the filling ball place another plastic cover and roll as thin as possible
- Carefully place this on a hot pan and roast on both sides.
- Serve with ghee
