For Filling

  1. Toor Dal -1/4 kg
  2. Fresh coconut-1 cup grated
  3. Jaggery-According to taste
  4. Cardamom -3 pods
Outer layer

  1. All purpose flour -2 cups
  2. Fine rava -1 cup
  3. Turmeric pwd -a pinch for color(optional)
  4. Oil Salt- a pinch
  5. Water

  • Mix flour , rava salt and turmeric pwd with water and oil to make a soft and elastic dough.
  • Cover the mix and leave for 2-4 hrs.
  • In the mean time boil toor dal till cooked well.
  • In a pan add jaggery on a low flame till jaggery melts.
  • Now add coconut ,dal and cardamom powder till they bind.
  • Blend this in a mixer together.
  • Once they cool down make small balls.
  • Once the dough is ready to use make small balls.
  • Place a plastic cover under and roll or pat the dough in smaller diameter place the filling ball place another plastic cover and roll as thin as possible
  • Carefully place this on a hot pan and roast on both sides.
  • Serve with ghee
